COVID-19 Delivery Information

We’re open for business online as we can provide contactless delivery to the door of our customers. The online ordering and contactless delivery of alcohol has been allowed during this period and is listed on the covid19 website:

“Fast-moving consumer goods: Any entity involved in the supply, delivery, distribution and sale of food, beverage and other key consumer goods essential for maintaining the wellbeing of people.”

With the absolute need for couriers to put urgent supplies to the community first, the priority will be lower on our goods, this means we can not offer a guaranteed delivery timeframe. All orders will be fulfilled by courier, using social distancing practices.

It’s a difficult time for everyone, but absolutely necessary for our community. Remember, everyone needs to Stay Inside, Stop the Spread and Be Kind.

What is Contactless Delivery?

With everyone’s safety in mind, when delivering your order, the courier will knock first, step back at least two metres from the door (or whatever distance is safe) and wait for you to answer. At that point we’ll ask for your name to confirm the order. Social distancing is the strategy behind this procedure.

You, or someone over 18 years of age must be present to accept the order. We cannot and will not deliver to anyone under the age of 18. If you look to be under 25, you may be asked to provide ID.

Are there any limits?

Yes, there are limits on Spirits & Liqueurs. You are only able to order 3 bottles of spirits per transaction and each bottle can hold a maximum of 1.125L.

What are your delivery charges?

We charge shipping at a flat rate of $6.50 per case (rural deliveries at $8.00 per case). To ensure minimal handling of products, we will only be selling wines by the case (mixed cases are available). This means all prices you see for Wine are for a full case (6 or 12 bottles). Spirits can be purchased as individual bottles. Mixers, Beer, Cider & RTDs. These are sold by the case. Prices displayed on the site reflect this and the quantity of units in each case will differ depending on the product.

How long does delivery take?

We aim to get orders to you ASAP although we can’t guarantee a delivery timeframe while at Level 4. Our turnaround time for dispatching orders is the following business day. However, our freight partners are required to make deliveries based on priority. We expect this to be 4-5 working days.

Where do you ship to?

We ship anywhere within NZ from our North & South Island Warehouses. If you are rural, please allow extra time for your orders. Please also note, if stock isn’t available at your nearest warehouse, it may also take longer for delivery.

All prices are in NZD and include GST. Prices are dependent on the product: Wines, RTD, Beer, Mixers: The price shown is per case and the quantity or units in each case will differ. Spirits: The price shown is per bottle

How secure is this web site, is it safe for me to buy online?

We have configured our computer servers and written our computer software to be secure. We use an internationally recognised encryption protocol to encrypt all personal data that you type into our site, before it travels across the Internet to us. On these screens you should see the identification symbol that your browser uses to indicate it has a secure connection, such as the "golden padlock" symbol at the bottom of your browser. Once we receive your order data it is stored on a secure server behind Hancocks' firewalls while your order is processed.
